In light of recent events and for clarification: The Snom M90 is equipped with a seamless antibacterial coating. Antibacterial means that some, but not all, bacteria are prevented from surviving on the surface of the device. Significantly, an antibacterial coating does not prevent viruses.
However, thanks to its surface, the M90 can also be cleaned in a moist environment, i.e. with disinfectants containing alcohol (ethanol). This also provides protection against viruses, but not against all of them. Key Line Emulation (KLE) Mode
For businesses that want the advantages of modern SIP technology but the simplicity of phones past, the M100 DECT Mobility Series also has Key Line Emulation (or KLE) mode. KLE mode allows users to answer a call on one handset, put it on hold and then answer that same call on another handset.
This is helpful in small business environments where multiple employees need to be able to answer incoming calls and easily transfer to another handset or employee. This provides increased flexibility and improved call handling for mobile work environments; with all the same great benefits the M100 Series has to offer above.
Imagine this – you own a small car dealership and have deployed (5) M18 wireless desksets and (5) M10 wireless handsets at various locations throughout the dealership. A call comes in on the main line 1. Employee A answers the call, but the caller worked with Employee B yesterday and would like to speak with them to continue the conversation. Employee A places line 1 on hold by pressing the dedicated HOLD button and the LED Line 1 Key blinks green to mark a call on hold. Employee A needs to track down Employee B, who is roaming the dealership with a handset on their hip. So, Employee A presses the Menu Key and then selects “Paging” to announce to the other handsets/desksets that Employee B has a call on Line 1. Employee B hears this announcement and picks up the blinking green LED Line 1 button to speak to their customer. Voila!
